Food Poisoning...

Yesterday Josh and I both woke up feeling sick. We both were throwing up yesterday all day long, it was SO miserable! We were both achy and had that yucky nauseous feeling all day. I felt like I was pregnant again. It was not a good day, but now we are both feeling a lot better. We think it's from a Pork Roast we ate on Sunday that we had bought at Albertson's, so I won't be buying any meat from there for awhile! YUCK! Poor Alli was wondering why we weren't' playing with her yesterday. She was just rolling on the floor all day long and I put her down for like 4 naps. Our neighbor Katie came and got her for about 3 hours yesterday so she could actually get some attention and we could try and get some sleep (Thanks Katie)! It was a rough day for all of us, I'm glad we're feeling better! However, the day did end on a happy note, Josh found out that he drew his Mt. Dutton Archery Elk Tag! He is extremely excited!! It's like a once in a life time hunt, so this made his day. He's been waiting to draw a tag for for a hunt like this for a really long time, so I'm happy for him. In fact, he's so excited that he wants me to put a countdown up for him on our blog, so you'll be seeing that soon. I probably won't see him for like 2 months this summer...JK. I guess that means a lot of road trips for me and Alli to Richfield and Cedar since I don't like to be home alone!

6 Months!

Alli had her 6 month checkup today and she is doing perfect! She is now 18 lbs 12.5 oz and 26 inches long. This puts her in the 90Th percentile of her weight and 55Th percentile of height. Oh, and she's already getting over her first little cold. Some of her favorite things to do lately are:

EAT: She loves any kind of cereal and is just trying out baby food and loving it
ROLL: She loves to roll around in every direction, she's really strong
BATH: She loved the bath from day one and hasn't stopped loving it since
GRAB: She'll grab anything and everything, and watch out because she has a really tight grip! In fact, she drew blood from my arm because she clawed me so hard.
CHEW & BITE: She puts everything in her mouth. This is her way of checking things out. She's a little Explorer
SQUEAL: She makes all kinds of cute funny sounds now, I can't wait to hear what the next one will be
SLEEP: She is a very good sleeper and napper. She sleeps eight hours straight before waking up, and takes two to three 1 1/2 to 2 hour naps a day!
HANDS: Alli loves to play with her hands and suck her fingers, sometimes her whole hand. Her new thing is to roll her hands in circles and she's attempting to clap.
SMILE: For the most part, she's always happy and smiling. She has a little flirtatious side to her that is so cute.
BABY EINSTEIN: She loves to sit in her bouncer chair and watch any Baby Einstein DVD, her eyes are glued to it when it's on.

Overall, she is a such a sweet, healthy happy baby, but she's growing way too fast. We love her so much! LOVE YOU ALLI..

Sickly...

Alli has gone SIX months without being sick, but on Sunday night she started to get really stuffy and congested. She was like snorting as she drank her bottle because she couldn't breathe that well . I feel so bad for her! She doesn't eat as much as usual and she's a little cranky, but still pretty dang happy for not feeling the best. I can't really tell if it's a cold, allergies or if she's teething. She goes in for her six month checkup in a couple days, so maybe the doctor can help if she's not feeling better by then.

St. George

Last week we went to St.George! We left Wednesday night and stayed in Cedar at Josh's house, then left the next morning for St.George. We left Alli at the Sutherland's overnight! She was there from Thursday morning through Friday afternoon. I was a little nervous too leave her for that long. I haven't left her overnight anywhere, but it actually was very nice to have a break, and she didn't have any problems. My Dad invited Josh to play in the Utah Rural Invitational Golf Tournament. They golfed the Sun River and San Hallow courses. He got a free golf bag, tons of free golf balls, some socks, a shirt and all the candy and drinks you could ask for! He had lot of fun. Wednesday afternoon I went shopping with my sister, and then Josh and I ate at Red Lobster. Thursday morning I slept in since I never get to do that anymore! Later, I went shopping again, and then met Josh at the golf course. It was Perfect weather. Eighty degrees and NO WIND! What's with the wind lately anyway? I hate it. Friday afternoon we went and got Alli. I was so happy to see her! I went to Richfield that night and Josh played in a softball tournament on Saturday in Delta. It was good to get out of town, but it's also good to be home. I feel like we've been driving non-stop for the last couple weeks. Oh, and we lost our little camera so I don't have any pictures. So this is basically just like my journal for now!

Baby Shower & Baby Blessing

Baby Shower
Last Saturday some of my girlfriends from high school had a baby shower for McKenzie. This is the 6Th baby shower for our little high school group of friends. She is expecting a baby boy "Heston" sometime towards the end of May. We have done bridal showers for most everyone, and now we're onto baby showers! It's crazy how most of us all have kids now. We all met up in Richfield and went to Pepperbelly's to eat open gifts! It was so good to see everyone, talk and catch up. It reminds me of the good old days! We always have fun when we're together, Love you girls!!!

Front row: Me, Chelsea and Cami
Back row: McCall, Lindsey, McKenzie, Katy and Jennie

Baby Blessing
Sunday morning Josh and I drove down to Cedar city for Sarah and Nate's baby blessing. Nate is Josh's brother. They blessed there baby boy, Jordan. Afterward, they had a little dinner at the park and it was such nice weather! I wish it would stay for more than a couple days. Also, Nate and Kristen (Josh's sister) both have new homes that just got done being built, so we were able to see them. They're looked really nice! It was a quick trip for us, but it was good to visit. We traveled a lot last weekend and are planning on more for this weekend! I'm so sick of driving!! I mean I don't mind driving, but driving with a baby is a different story. I feel so bad strapping in her car seat for six hours! But Alli is such a good little traveler. She was basically in the car all day Sunday and hardly even cried once. She's such a good, patient baby...Thanks goodness!

So sweet

These are just some sweet pictures of Alli in this darling, sweet little pink outfit that I love. She's kind of hot when she's in it as you can see from her Rosy cheeks so I can't leave her in it for that long!

Jazz Game

Friday Night I was able to go to the Jazz game on the seventh row! My Dad had tickets and was nice enough to share. It was so much fun. The games are so much more intense and fun when you're up close. Josh had already committed to a softball tournament in Payson, so he wasn't able to make it, but he definitely missed out! They played San Antonio Spurs, it was a really good game. I finally got to see Kyle Korver up close, and yes, I'll agree with all his lady fans out there. Not only is he a good player, but also pretty good looking!!

So these aren't really my favorite pcitures, but they're okay for now! I'm thinking I'll get really good ones when Alli's a little older.

Diet Coke, Shopping and Hair Appointments

So I got this in an email I got a while ago from a friend. I thought it was pretty hilarious, so I thought I'd share with all of you. (Sorry if you've already heard it.)

Amanda was walking down the street when she was accosted by a particularly bedraggled and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked Amanda for a couple of dollars for dinner. Amanda took out her billfold, extracted ten dollars...and then asked, "If I give you this money, are you going to spend it on Diet Coke instead of dinner?" "No, I had to stop drinking that years ago", the homeless woman replied. "Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?" Amanda asked. "No, I don't waste time shopping," the homeless woman said. "I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive." "Will you spend this on a hair stylist instead of food?" Amanda asked. "Are you NUTS!?" replied the homeless woman. "I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!""That's just fine," said Amanda, "I'm not only going to give you the money, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my hubby and myself tonight." The homeless woman was astounded. "Won't your husband be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm ragged, dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting." Amanda replied, "That's all right. It's important for Andy to see what a woman looks like after she's given up Diet Coke, shopping and hair appointments."

LOVE IT! However for me, it's Dr. Pepper, Shopping & Hair Appointments!
