9 Month Check-Up

I took Alli to the doctor today and she weighs 21 lbs 11.5 oz and is 29 inches long! She's doing great. This puts her in the 88Th percentile for both height and weight. Her head circumference was in the 89Th percentile, so she is a very proportionate girl! She only had to get one shot and her toe pricked and didn't cry at all.

She's growing up unbelievably fast and is changing rapidly. She is very busy lately and gets into everything. She's always on the go, exploring new things and places. She is a little talker and makes all sorts of sounds! Before we know it she'll be walking. She's the sweetest baby and we're very proud of her.

My Little Creation!

So I got this little crafty idea off of Mary's blog. I thought it was so cute, so I decided to do one for my little darling Alli! Sure it took me like two days to do it, but I got it done today. I do NOT scrapbook, it gives me a headache and I'm NOT the craftiest girl in the world, BUT I do like to do crafts every now and then. Anyway, I think it turned out pretty good for my standards. I'm gonna hang it up in Alli's room, it matches perfectly. YaY for me for being crafty! I must say, I'm pretty proud of myself, ha!

9 months!

Alli turned 9 months a few days ago!! It's so sad. Time really does fly by so fast. I never believed everyone when they said that, but now I know exactly what they mean. We're getting her 9 month pictures today, and then she has her 9 month check-up next week. I'm so curious to find out what she weighs. Pictures and updates are coming!

New Car!

We've been looking for one for a little while and yesterday we bought one! It's a 2007 Pontiac G6 with 36,000 miles on it. It gets 33 miles a gallon on the freeway and 26 around town. We actually went to Bountiful last night after Josh got off work to test drive a car, and ended up not liking it.
On our way home, Josh randomly pulled over at Jerry Seiner GM off 106th. I'm glad we did because we found this car, and it was a better deal than any other we had found at that point. We took it for a drive and next thing ya know we were purchasing it! It's so nice and spacious, and gets great gas mileage.
I feel a lot safer with Alli in it then in the little Neon. Although, the Neon has been a great little car and we haven't had any problems with it. Josh will now drive the Neon to work and I'll drive the new car. He'll use his truck just for hunting as stuff like that, so we'll be saving a lot on gas money. Anyway, it's fun to have a new car! We feel like we got a good deal and made a smart choice. If it were up to me I'd buy the most expensive car on the lot, so I'm glad I have Josh to bring me to my senses!!

4th Of July

The Fourth was lots of fun for us this year! It's one of my favorite holidays. I love the small town parades, my mom's homemade ice cream, great food and of course the fireworks! It all starts with the cannons blasting at 6AM, then the 5K Liberty Run which my sister and I ran, and then the parade. After the parade, basically the whole town goes to the park. It's a lot of fun!

After the Parade this year we packed up and headed over to the "2nd Home" in Wayne County. Josh headed to Mt. Dutton to scout for his big upcoming elk hunt. Me, Alli, my sister and my parents had a lot of fun in Bicknell. Alli got to go for a ride in the Rhino to see the lambs, have her first taste of watermelon which she LOVED, and got to see her first firework go off! My sister and I had an intense game of pool and ping pong as well. It was very relaxing in Bicknell and the perfect temperature.

Saturday morning we went to the Torrey Parade, which is a few miles East of Bicknell. It was a very different parade to say the least, but good. There was a camel in the parade! Only in Torrey Utah can will you ever see that, it was pretty unique!

Saturday afternoon we drove back to Richfield. Alli went on a stroller ride with Grandma, played on the swing in the backyard and discovered the piano! Sunday we went to church and watched the Wimbledon Men's championship. It was a very fun weekend, and it was good to be home for a few days!
