Weekend Fun

Josh and his friend Jared went sharp tail bird hunting on Saturday. They had permission to hunt 3000 acres in Snowville and they only got one bird the whole day! Apparently they're really hard to find.
As for me, I got my hair done which always takes like 3 hours but I don't mind, I Love getting my hair done! Later that night we met up with some friends in Bountiful and went to dinner at Lonestar. It was a fun weekend that went by way too fast!

You may have noticed that I have a slight obsession with changing my blog background like every week...I can't help it! Just go with it people! It's like I get so bored with them very quickly.

Obama Bin Laden. I mean Biden. I mean...Osama La Biden. Olama Bin Sama?

Quite the tongue twister if you ask me.

This is how Alli dances. She just moves her head, it's pretty funny! She copied Josh one day when he was moving his head and now she does it ALL the time if we do it. She does it when she hears music too. She usually gets more into it, but she got camera shy.

11 Months

Our little Alli turned 11 months old today! Wow, that's so crazy to me. I can't believe I'll soon have a one-year old. It's been a pretty amazing thing to watch her grow, change and learn so much so quickly. She has the cutest personality and is so much fun- very busy, but fun. Here's a few things about Alli right now...

* She now has 3 teeth (two in bottom and one on top) with several others on top that are getting really close.

* Her favorite things to eat lately are pieces of string cheese, any kind of potatoes, teddy grahams, and goldfish.

* She's quite the climber and can climb all the way up the stairs on her own! Thank goodness we now have a safety gate.

* Pulls herself up to just about anything (bathtub, dishwasher, cabinets, entertainment center, stroller, chairs, ANYTHING, including me just standing still. She is also "cruising" along the couches and walls.

* Alli loves to go through Daddy's wallet and Mommy's purse and pull EVERYTHING out, even all my cards in my wallet.

* Loves to chew on the shopping carts, kind of sick I know, but don't worry I sanitize them!

* She cannot sit still anymore while I'm getting her ready for bed or dressed, or changing her diaper. It's quite a chore just to get her dressed for the day. She's always on the go!

* Loves to hide herself under blankets and then play peek-a-boo

* Everyday, wherever I go, multiple people ALWAYS compliment her. People love her eyes, chubby legs, her hair color and hair in general. I always hear, "She's beautiful, adorable, darling or SO cute."

I couldn't agree more, she is such a beautiful happy baby. We love you Alli, I don't know what we would do without you!

You Belong in 1983

Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

Cedar City

Last Saturday I went to Cedar City until Monday to visit the Sutherland's because Josh was hunting and is hunting all this week. But, it's the last week of his hunt...hallelujah! I'll soon have my husband back!
While i was in Cedar we went to a few of the homes in the Festival of Homes, which was fun. Sunday we had a dinner for Laine's upcoming birthday and then Monday we all went to lunch at the Pizza Factory. I had fun and it was good to see everyone, we haven't been down there in a really long time! Here are a few pics of Alli and some of the cousins.

"Oh My Gosh!"

A few weeks ago, I put my hands on my cheeks and said "Oh my Gosh" to Alli and she thought it was so funny! Now every time I do it she'll put her hands on her cheeks. Now I see her randomly doing it throughout the day it's so cute!

Also, she thinks she's a little monkey and will climb onto or into everything. Below is a picture of her climbing up the chair in the computer room! She's pretty daring and so determined, I have to keep an eye on her at all times now.

Labor Day Weekend

For labor day my whole family went to Wayne County. It was a lot of fun! We went on a really pretty four-wheeler ride to Blue Lake on the Boulder Mountain on the old "Torval roads" that were built by my Grandpa Albrecht back in the day. I learned a lot about my Grandpa and Grandma Albrecht that I never knew thanks to my Dad, he gave us all history lessons!
I made some home made salsa, and we also had lots of pool games and ping-pong challenges. I must say that I am pretty dang good at pool and improving on ping-pong game! Sunday we all went for a ride on the Ranger 4-Wheeler, and when I say all of us, I mean ALL of us, we looked like the clampets riding around Bicknell, it was pretty awesome. Overall, it was a good time and fun to hang out with the fam. Thanks to my Mom for all her hard-work making all the delicious home made meals and treats, tending, and for cleaning up after us all!

Josh was on his elk hunt so he wasn't there, but we missed him! However, I didn't feel so bad for him this time because he was in a nice trailer with his Dad and a couple friends eating Rib-eye steaks every night! Usually he hikes in and sleeps in a tent. He saw a big bull that he would've shot, but wasn't able to get close enough to get a good shot. But, he does have a whole week off coming up on the last week of his hunt, so hopefully he'll be able to get one then.
