Projects

Here is a few projects I've been working on lately that I just finished.
First, I made these cute pottery barn looking balls that I thought were pretty cute. I got the idea from my friend Megan's cute blog. If you want a tutorial on how to make them, click here.

Next I made this picture board thing..also a pottery barn idea. I love browsing PB's home and kids magazines and getting ideas. If I had unlimited money and I would seriously buy their store out. But really, a lot of their decorations you could totally make! I like trying to make my house look pottery-barnish, even if it's just little things, it makes me happy =)

Last but not least is the big project. I refinished this dresser that I got it from my parents out of the Wayne County house.

{History...When I was in high school I went and helped my Dad move a ton of furniture out of some guy's cabin at Fish Lake and my Dad was a bishop at the time, so he gave a lot of it away to ward members that needed it. This dresser though, he kept and put in my room in Bicknell. Over labor day, I asked him if I could have it and he said yes!}

It needed quite a bit of TLC to make it look cute, so I sanded it down which was SO hard even with an electric sander- my hands hurt for like a week. Then I took off the old gross gold hardware, filled in the holes, primed it, painted two coats on it, put a protectant on it, and finally it was done! Josh, put the new hardware on it and walla- a new dresser for Alli's room! I love it and she loves it too. It was kind of a lot of work, but I'm happy with it. She needed a new dresser because her old one was so ghetto and would fall over sometimes...not safe at all.

Here it is BEFORE:

Here is THE FINAL PRODUCT!

* Yes, I am missing one dang knob..I didn't order enough!

I love the new pink knobs and the 11 drawers- she needs ALL of the them because she has so many clothes!

So there ya go! I love doing projects. Sometimes in the process of doing them I don't love them, but when I'm done it feels good. Any other project ideas that you've done that I need to do? I would love to hear!

Chiropractor

So the last couple weeks I've been going to a Chiropractor. My back has been hurting for about the last two years, so I finally decided to do something about it. I have been going to a Chiropractor for a couple weeks now and it has made a HUGE difference! I was a little nervous for my first appointment, but now I totally love it.
Have any of you ever been to a Chiropractor?! I think it's pretty interesting and a little bit intimidating. To be honest, I never really knew exactly what they did. My first visit was somewhat painful and there were LOTS of pops and cracks while I was getting my spine "adjusted." At the same time it felt so good. It's a good pain I guess you could say. He also adjusted my neck which was the scariest part for me-I was a little scared he was going to break my neck or something, but again it felt so good afterward!
I can see why famous people have regular chiropractor visits along with their makeup artist, trainers, and everything else! It really does make a big difference for me at least, and I have only gone twice.

Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day weekend, we went to the Wayne County House. It was very relaxing and I got lots & lots of sleep. We had lots of delicious home cooked meals & treats, four-wheeler rides and trips to the park. Alli and Wyatt played really good together this trip, it was fun to watch them together. Alli loves to have Grandma read stories and take her for rides in the wagon.
Josh and all the guys went out on the Boulder Mountain a few times, so he was a happy man. They also had some very INTENSE ping pong tournaments, and tackled a few of Dad's "projects!"
The girls helped cook, napped, watched GIRL shows, took turns with baby Kael and visited. It was fun to have the whole family there and see everybody. Love you all!

Alli & Wyatt watching Barney just before bedtime- they played so good together.

Alli watching Barney AGAIN...she can't get enough!

Little Doll

I was bored today, so I curled Alli's hair and got her all dressed up and we went outside to take pictures for fun. I just followed her around with the camera, and she showed me every flower she could find! She is my little doll and I love dressing her up. We sure do love this little princess!
