Oh Boy...

Oh man, so Alli took me to her closet this morning and pointed to this purple "dress" she insisted on wearing. This so called dress is actually a shirt. Funny thing is she clearly thought it was a dress even though it just barely covered her undies! She was dead serious about it too. She kept saying, "Dress," and I kept saying "No it's a shirt, it's not long enough to be a dress!"
Hmm...I think we have our hands full with this one in the future! When she calmed down a little bit, I put a skirt and tights on with her purple SHIRT.

Here is a couple pics of her so called dress so you know what I mean- silly girl!

Homeshow 2010

We had so much fun at our annual St. George home show/girls trip despite the cold rainy weather. As always, we saw beautiful homes, ate great food and even found some time to squeese in a little shopping.
Last year we had a hard time with some of the directions, so this year my Mom brought her Garmin, which we later named "Gina." Needless to say, "Gina" didn't have her maps updated so we got a little lost a couple times but were able to find all the houses we wanted to see.
The way home was a little scary because the roads were pretty bad through Beaver. My sister and I thought our kiddos were going to have a breakdown but we made it safe and sound even though it took about 5 hours to get home.

Here we are at the beginning of day one at our hotel.

Doesn't this look like a post card or something? Oh no, someone actually lives here- aren't they lucky! There were some amazing views from most of the homes.

Little Kaelster did really good during the whole thing despite his blow-out and being so tired and drug around all day long! What can i say, he loves hangin out with the girls =) Lucky for me, we dropped Alli in Cedar at Grandma's house on the way down so I didn't have to haul her around everywhere.

We went to this breakfast place called "The Bear Paw" and it was SO delicous! It's a pretty popular place down there. We loved it so much that we went back the second day.

Miss You!

Josh left to Florida today for work until next Monday and we already miss him. I don't know how all of you wives of traveling hubby's do it! I'm so glad he doesn't travel that much. Pretty sure I'll get very little sleep tonight because I'll be so scared sleeping all alone- don't worry I will have a shot gun by my bed and all doors securely locked!! Plus Ruger will bark if he hear's anybody. Then again I'll probably sleep like a baby since I had to take him to the airport at 5:30 AM and I'm already exhausted.

On a random note, I really want to see the movie "Dear John." I think it looks so good! Mostly because I love the author Nicholas Sparks. He also wrote the Notebook and I LOVED both the movie and book. Actually it's one of my favorite movies of all time. Hopefully I'll be able to see it this weekend because my Mom, sister and I are off to St. George for the homeshow! So see, I'll only have to sleep alone for ONE night because my sister and I are going to Richfield tomorrow.

Oh and one more thing how could I forget...did you watch the Bachelor?!!! Okay I can't believe Vienna is STILL there. I'm kind of suprised he sent Gia home but I also heard that she has a boyfriend at home..same with Vienna. Then I also heard that he chooses Vienna at the end!? I am cheering for Tenley, but I guess we'll find out in a couple weeks!

Sweet Treats

Alli and I made some Valentine's sugar cookies today. I made the cookies while she was taking a nap and then when she woke up we decorated them. She didn't quite get how to "sprinkle" the sprinkles on haha! She pretty much dumped half the bottle on one cookie =) Like her Mom, she enjoys the frosting way more than the cookie itself. That's my girl!

See what I mean about the sprinkles?!

The Results...

Well, the 3 days of potty training came and went and Alli is pretty much fully potty trained!!! We are so proud of her! It was a long three days of constantly focusing on her and watching her ALL day. The 3 day potty training method is pretty intense but it's totally worth it in my opinion. I would reccommend it to anybody.
I think it was harder for me because I had to be by her side at all times, couldn't leave the house or do much  around the house for 3 days!
Alli loved it because she had my full attention for 3 days straight. We did TONS of activities like making cookies, maiking playdough, painting, cleaning, drawing, watching movies and tv shows, dancing, doing hair, reading etc. There were also lots of stickers, rewards, praise, drinks, popsicles, treats and snacks involved, she loved it.

Here's how it all went down...

Day one:
She had lots of accidents (by accidents I mean she went a little bit in her undies and then I would rush her up to her potty and she would finish). She went #1 in the potty twice. She never did go #2 the whole day. She stayed dry all night.

Day two:
She went #1 in the potty three times and #2 once...again I would catch her in the act and then rush her up to the potty to finish. She stayed dry all night.

Day three:
She went #1 five times and #2 one time. Towards the end of the day, she TOLD ME SHE HAD TO GO POTTY, WENT TO THE POTTY and KEPT HER UNDIES DRY!! This was the ultimate goal=) Since then, she's done the same thing twice.

I hope she keeps it up. We are going to continue to praise her like crazy every time she goes. I'm sure she'll continue to have a few accidents, but for the most part it clicked with her and she gets it now. I am SO proud of my BIG GIRL - this is a huge accomplishment!

Now I have to figure out how to travel with her and go places with her and use public restrooms etc, so there is still a lot for both she and I to learn, but she's got the basics down. Way to go Alli! I'll have to get a pic of her in her big girl undies, she loves them. I could never quite grab the camera quick enough =)

And so it begins...

Today I am starting potty training with Alli. Should be super fun..ha ha- ya right. I'm not looking foward to cleaning up lots of "accidents!"
I am using the 3 day potty training method that was sent to me. I know it's worked for many people, so I hope so badly that it works for us, how nice would that be?!
Even if it doesn't work I'm not gonna stress about it, I feel like she'll be ready when's she feels ready. However, I do feel like she is capable of getting it down right now, so we shall see.
Basically I am home bound for three days and can't leave her side. I will keep you posted on the progress and the of course the final results! Wish us Luck!
