Curlformers and Thanksgiving

I heard about these really great hair curlers called Curlformers awhile back and knew I had to try them out! They are SO great! If you have a little girl you definitely need to get these, they make beautiful curls! I got mine at Sally's beauty supply.

The Tree is up!

Last Sunday I was in the Christmas decorating mood, so I pulled out all the Christmas stuff. Very rarely do I get the Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving.
Alli had a blast decorating the tree this year. She kept saying, "A Christmas tree, Yay! Thank you!!!"
She was going a hundred miles and hour pulling everything out of the boxes.
She is already so excited for Christmas, we are reminded everyday that "Christmas is coming!"

It was kind of disaster area...

So excited for the Christmas tree!

But first I am ready to enjoy my Turkey dinner and be lazy all weekend, and maybe squeeze in a little shopping too. If we can make it down to Cedar that is...after this so called "Blizzard" of the century we are having right now. Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

B Ball...

Alli went on a little date with her Daddy to the Jazz game the other night. She loved it as usual and lasted through the whole entire game!

Mickey's Magical Adventure

Alli and I went and saw Disney on Ice today! She was so excited to see Mickey, she had been talking about it all week. The show was really cute, I was impressed. Alli LOVED it. Her eyes were glued to the ice the whole time! Mickey's "adventure" included destinations that included the Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Lilo and Stitch, the Lion King. On the way home, she told me her favorite's were Mickey and Tinkerbell.

While we went to this, Josh went to his annual Fish n Game youth hunt in Tooele. They always ask him to come back and help out every year. He does a great job and everybody loves him and Ruger! Here are some pictures the kids/families he helped.

Curls

Alli's babysitter curled her hair so dang cute today. When she got home, she wanted to get a princess outfit on immediately and have me take some pictures of her. Yes, she told me to take pictures of her and yes she stares at herself in the mirror ha! But hey, when you're beautiful it's hard not to stare at yourself! She is quite the little Princess Diva these days and I love it.

10 Facts about Kissing

1. Two out of every three couples turn their heads to the right when they kiss.

2. A simple peck uses two muscles; a passionate kiss, on the other hand, uses all 34 muscles in your face. Now that’s a rigorous workout!

3. Like fingerprints or snowflakes, no two lip impressions are alike.

4. Kissing is good for what ails you. Research shows that the act of smooching improves our skin, helps circulation, prevents tooth decay, and can even relieve headaches.

5. The average person spends 336 hours of his or her life kissing.

6. Ever wonder how an “X” came to represent a kiss? Starting in the Middle Ages, people who could not read used an X as a signature. They would kiss this mark as a sign of sincerity. Eventually, the X came to represent the kiss itself.

7. Talk about a rush! Kissing releases the same neurotransmitters in our brains as parachuting, bungee jumping, and running.

8. The average woman kisses 29 men before she gets married.

9. Men who kiss their partners before leaving for work average higher incomes than those who don’t.

10. The longest kiss in movie history was between Jane Wyman and Regis Tommey in the 1941 film, You’re in the Army Now. It lasted 3 minutes and 5 seconds. So if you’ve beaten that record, it’s time to celebrate!

Viva Las Vegas!

I got to go to a work conference in Vegas last week for a few days. It was really fun even though we were in training during most of the day. It was fun getting to know some of the girls I work with a little better. You can't beat a free trip to Vegas right?!

Day 13- a letter to someone who has hurt you recently

I have not been hurt by anybody for a very long time. I hardly ever get my feelings hurt or get offended, and the rare occasion that I do, I get over it really quickly. In fact, I don't even remember it like a week later- it's like it just escapes my mind! I also hardly ever get hurt physically- I have never broken one bone in my body. I'd say that's a good thing!

day 14- a picture of you and your family

I think this video is really sweet! I love how she put her real Mom and husband in it.

Days 10-12

Day 10- songs you listen to when you are happy, sad, bored, hyped, mad
I don't really have specific songs that I listen to when I feel a certain way. I do like all of the songs that are on my playlist below. I really like the Zac Brown Band lately, but I am a fan of all kinds of music.

Day 11- another picture of you and your friends
I'm skipping this one- already did it. I do have friends up here too but I hardly have any pictures with them! I I'll have to work on that.

Day 12- how you found out about blogger and why you have one
I think I found out about blogger from my sister. A couple of my friends had one too, so I decided to start one. I started it shortly after Alli was born and haven't stopped since...love it! Why I do it is to keep a record of happenings in our life. Kind of like a journal/photobook. I also use it as an outlet to write whatever I want for fun. It's very relaxing to me, and I love to look at other people's blogs. I'm planning on printing it all out into a big book by the end of this year.

Days 7, 8, & 9

Day 7- a picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you
My Parents have definitely had the biggest impact on me. They are the BEST parents in the Universe! I love them so much. They have taught me a lot just by their example and I look up to them so much. They have always been so supportive and helpful in so many ways. They are the greatest ever!

Day 8- short term goals for this month and why
Clean my car because it is really disgusting right now! I'm embarrassed of it.
Go on a date with Josh because it's been way too long since we have.

Day 9- something you're proud of in the past few days
Alli- she's been going poop in the potty! I swear, the day she turned 3 and she was like a new girl! She's never had a problem going #1, but #2 she thought she could just go on the floor for a long time so I'm very proud of her for this.
