Circus Circus!

We went to the World Jordan Circus this week and it was so much fun! They were doing elephant rides and other activites before it started, so when we first walked in Alli was so scared of the elephant, but once the show got started she was loving it. It was a great show- we saw elephants, bears, and lots of gymnasts/acrobats. There were no lions or tigers at this one...maybe next time.

There were 4 motorcyclists in this thing at one point going in circles pretty dang fast. I don't know how in the heck they didn't run in to each other!

This was during intermission...I'm not sure what she's doing here but I love it.

Asleep on the floor...

This is how we found Alli the other night when we went to check on her before we went to bed. She apparently loves the floor more than her bed because she's done this a few times now! I thought it was kind of sweet though, with her little pony and all, so I had to take a picture =)

So Stylin!

The other day after Alli's bath I was trying to get her in her pajamas, but she was running all around the house. I started doing something else and next thing I know she comes to me rockin' the outfit below! LOVE it and all of her accessory choices to go along with it =) I really like all her expressions too, she was striking all sorts of poses! Three is such a fun age.

Wedding

This past weekend I drove down to Richfield for McCall's wedding! Our little circle of friends all met up at South China Cafe and then went to the celebration. As always, it was fun to see everyone and visit. McCall looked gorgeous, and I loved her dress and hair. Congratulations McCall! She is the last one in our little group to get married off, so now we're hoping for a baby shower in the near future so we can all get together again soon =)

Alli also came down with me and had a blast playing and playing with Grandma and Grandpa. She also went to the "party" as she called it with my parents and had a great time.
I installed some apps for my parents on both their ipads. Those things are SO awesome- I want one! There are so many things you can do with them.
Josh had a fun weekend to himself Chukar hunting of course AND he cleaned the house pretty good for me.

RaNdOm...

I have no problem at all leaving dirty dishes, laundry piled sky high, dirty floors, etc to call it a day and hit the sack. I can leave all my worries and chores behind and fall right to sleep no matter what needs to be done. I think it's quite a gift I have. I think it's because in the back of my mind, I know everything will get done eventually, so I just don't worry about it! There is no use in stressing over it. I know that kind of stuff can drive some people bonkers so I feel lucky, or maybe a little lazy ha =) But I dont know, maybe this is a bad thing- what do you think?

I love to look online at stores. If  I see something I think is cute I'll go to the store and find it. Probably 75% of the time when I go and actually see it in person or try it on I don't like it. I like having a plan of action when I go shopping. It's much more time efficient this way and I get less distracted when I know exactly what I'm looking for.

I hate it when the dental hygenist is flossing your teeth after a cleaning and they use the same spot of floss over and over again. I just went to the dentist last week. I personally move to new parts of the string when I floss, so this kind of drive's me crazy when they do this and I think it's gross.

I have noticed especially lately that people who aren't originally from Utah but live in Utah always have bad things to say about it. It makes me wonder why they are here if it's so bad here? If you hate it so much, then move back to where ya came from...or why did ya come to Utah in the first place?! Drive's me crazy.
I love Utah, so don't hate on it!

A Good Read

Lately, I've been having an itch to read! Yes, I know- pretty strange. If you know me well, you know I'm not much of a reader. Never have been. But lately, I've been wanting to read! I now read a little every night before I go to bed. This particular book I heard about through some website I can't remember where, but I thought I would give it a try.
This book focuses on how to change your child's attitude, behavior, and character. There's a few things that Alli does that I wanted a little help on. Number one, temper tantrums....sound familiar to anyone?! Number two is not eating her meals all the time which used to stress me out a little.
It talks about distinguishing between a molehill (the situation will take care of itself or is a small concern in the grand scheme of what you are trying to accomplish)  and a mountain (something that will matter in the long run). Not eating much at mealtime for instance would be considered a mole hill.
Another concept I really liked was the principle of "Say it once; turn your back on your child; walk away." I put this principle to the test numerous times already and it's been working for me for the most part. There was a lot of information in this book that I really liked. He also answers tons of questions about popular topics parents have in the back of the book. I would definitely recommend this book to any parent, I thought it was great!

The Bach

The Bach... aka "The Bachelor" in case your were wondering.
I'm excited for another season of the Bachelor! I didn't even know it was supposed to be on either...shocker I know =) I was just watching TV tonight and came across it. There is a girl from Salt Lake on it and I think she is Gorgeous! Although, I dont' know much about her yet or her personality, but I'm excited to watch. It's fun to see somebody from Utah on there- Go Utah girl!!

Our Sunshine is a Sunbeam...

Today was Alli's first day as a Sunbeam in Primary! Man, she really needs to stop growing up so fast! She did so great, didn't cry or anything and her teachers said she did awesome. Here is our little Sunbeam on her 1st day of primary.

Here she is trying to sing "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam."

Happy 2011!

Happy New Year! Wow, time's a flyin' isn't it?! I can't believe it. I think it's going to be a great year. Eleven is one of my favorite numbers, so in that case I think it has to be a great year!
We didn't do much to celebrate we just hung out at home and I was in bed by 11. I know, I know- party poopers =) Today, I've been down with the flu all day. NOT a fun way to start out the year.
Anyway, I hope this year brings everybody all good things. Happy 2011!!!

Yesterday we went to the movie Tangled. It was such a cute movie. I enjoyed it just as much as Alli did. If you haven't seen it you need to, I thought it was adorable.

Oh and P.S. Did you know that the color of the year for 2011 is Honeysuckle? You better be incorporating it into your wardrobe lol!
