6 Months

Baby girl is a half a year old!!! Totally crazy. In fact, she had her doctor's appt today- right on the dot! She is a small little nutshell but as healthy as can be.

25.5 inches tall ( in the 34th percentile)
14.37 lbs (18th percentile)
15.75 head circumference (5th percentile)

At six months she is eating pure baby food and likes almost everything we've given her, but she had some prunes today and wasn't a huge fan of those.

Army crawls and occasionally gets up on knees and arms likes she going to crawl

Still loves the bath and still sleeps great

Sits up without support, but not for long unless she's leaning forward on her hands

Getting hair "wings" as you can see below

Loves to watch her big sister

Love her to pieces, she is so sweet.

We've been busy around here with swim lessons, gymnastics, doctors appointments, pony camp, and random projects I've been doing. It's been a fun busy though. We also went to the Lehi rodeo and going to Lagoon tomorrow. It's been a little crazy- I'm ready to relax tonight!

Alli just finished up her swim lessons at the af pool. She did great and loved it! I'm not gonna lie, I'm sort of glad they're over, tired of having 2-3 baths a day =)

Here she is on her last day with her teacher, Adrianna.

I signed Alli up for Little Boots Pony Camp. This little 2 day camp was ADORABLE! I heard about it through her gymnastics place and I knew I had to sign her up. She loves anything with ponies or horses. It was 2 hours each day and they had 3 different stations. One was just riding the ponies/horses, one was for snacks and face painting and the other was for games and activities. By the end she was totally covered it dirt and she had a blast. On the last day she told us she wants a horse of her own.

Haven was introduced to the Ipad! Alli loves it too, her favorite app so far is the easy bake app. She can whip up and decorate some cupcakes in no time!

This is where Haven prefers to take nap in her crib!

Super Saturday

Last Saturday we went to Seven Peaks in the morning and then to the Bee's game that night.
It was quite the eventful day and we were all exhausted by the end, but it was super fun!

It was Alli's first time ever at 7 peaks and she was loving all of the slides.

Haven was so chill and did not make a peep! She hung out like this most of the time. She and I went floating around lazy river and she loved that. She is not afraid to get in the water!

We got free tickets to the Bee's Game from our bank so we went with one of Josh's friends and his two girls. It was a gorgeous night- perfect for a baseball game. Haven would not fall asleep though! We took our stroller and Josh and I both did some laps around the field hoping she would fall asleep but nope! I guess she just wanted to be part of the action =) We stayed for the firework show after and Haven LOVED them, did not even flinch the entire time! In fact she was so relaxed, probably because it was WAY past her bed time. Either way, it surprised us because Alli was so scared of them for a couple years.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to this handsome Fella...our man of the house, fun loving daddy & husband the great! We are very appreciative of him and all he does for our family. He was a good sport to obey my command and pose for some Father's Day pictures before church in front of the rose bushes =) We love you so much!

Some of the things I admirer about the man of our house....

* He is positive, when I'm negative he quickly recognizes it and turns things around for me
*Honors his priesthood
* Supportive in pretty much anything I wanna do
* That he can let loose and be silly

Speaking of Father's Day, I will admit to something.... we actually celebrated Father's Day LAST Sunday. Yep we sure did!! I print off calendars from my computer for my fridge and this particular calendar DID NOT list the holidays on it. I totally thought it was last weekend and Josh apparently did too, because he didn't say anything! I called my Dad to wish him a happy Fathers day and he ever so kindly said "Thanks, but you're one week early," and I could hear my Mom chuckling in the background. Aw well...Josh just got to celebrate Father's Day twice! He's totally used to my air headedness by now =)

Also Happy Father's Day to My Dad. Growing up he and my Mom took my siblings and I with them pretty much everywhere they went. Now that I have kids, looking back that was probably a hard thing to do and not always the funnest, but they always made sacrifices and put us first. He took us on lots of fun places like business trips/hotel stays, to dinner at nice places where most people would not even risk taking their kids, jazz games, and some not so fun places like to clean grandma's house, or do some kind of service project for someone, etc. Not that those things weren't fun, but you get my drift. I even remember going visiting teaching and helping move some furniture for a woman with him when he was a bishop. He took me to a lot of different places where I could learn from lot of different experiences in life, and have fun while doing it. I very rarely stayed home.
I'm grateful for these experiences because they taught me manners, how to meet and talk to people, responsibility (like to not loose the room key and be ready by certain times ), the value of hard work and to see how other people live. Mostly it taught me that they love us and only want the best for us. There is lots of other things I'm grateful for about my Dad, but that is one thing I was thinking about this weekend.

Happy Father's Day to all of the Father's out there!

Sweets Candy Tour

We visited the Sweets Candy Factory the other day with our friends, the Lewis's.
It was short & sweet- perfect for kids and adults alike! We saw all the different areas of the factory and got some sweet samples along the way. We also got to rock these awesome hair nets =)

I couldn't hear our tour girl that well, but I did learn a couple things...

Jelly Beans are colorless and flavorless until they go into these huge bowls and get coated with syrup, sugar and flavoring over and over until they have a thick outer coating.

Swedish Fish and Cinnamon Bears are coated in cornstarch because it makes them come out easier from their molds and it helps hold their shape

You better believe I picked up some cinnamon bears & orange sticks. Alli got herself some candy corn =)

It was a fun little outing at the candy factory!

Alli and Peyton

After the recital, Peyton & Grandma JoAnne stayed up here for a couple days. They don't get to see each other a lot, but when they do get together, they definitely make the most of every minute they can! We went to lunch and then took them to the Lehi Trafalga.  They also played dress up for hours, colored, rode the Barbie Jeep and then repeated all of that about 5 times. They had fun!

I put curlers in their hair and they loved it

I got soaked on this little ride, all the kids were ganging up on me I swear!

Spring Dance Recital

Alli had her dance recital yesterday and she did so awesome! She knew her dance well and was smiling and confident and most importantly having fun. She loved being on the "big stage!" The theme was "The Wizard of Oz," and her class danced in the Tin Man part. It was super cute. The seating on the other hand was pure chaos!! Luckily, we got some good seats but it was a little out of control when they opened the doors, we're glad nobody got hurt! Seriously, watch out for the die hard dancing Mom's, they're a tough crowd =)

Prettiest little dance girl ever...could you die at those big blue eyes?!

Her cousin Peyton drove all the way from Cedar City with Grandma JoAnne to come watch

Alli with Olivia - they were cute little partners in the dance

Good Job Alli!

Weekend Events

We had quite an eventful weekend traveling all over the place.
Josh went on a little trip to Colorado with some of his buddies from work, where they attended a Rockies game.

The crazy bunch....Greg, Kevin, James, Bob & Josh

I went to Richfield and hung out with my parents Friday. Alli played outside most of the time in her whale pool that she had been begging me to dig out of the garage.

Standing by some of Grandma's Beautiful flowers

Alli talking on the phone to Daddy

We then drove down to Cedar to go to our nephew Parker's baptism. Alli had a blast with her cousins and I had the best slushy at the Tiki good, I highly recommend it! If you've ever been to Bahama Bucks in Arizona, it's kinda like that. It has super soft ice and delicious cream that you can put on top.

This pic is of Parker is from like 2 1/2 year ago...I totally did not snap any pics so I'm waiting on some updated pics

I stayed in Cedar until Sunday morning and then went drove back to Richfield for a few hours. It's so nice to break up a long drive by yourself with 2 kids, and of course my Mom had a delicious meal waiting for us...she is the best. Grandpa rocked Haven to sleep and then they took a nap together while we played outside.

Today was quite the day too. I got my tooth extracted...the one that I've had not 1 but 2 root canals done on. When I had my retreat on it back in December it had a huge abscess and tons of infection. To make a long story short, the infection never really went away, so they had no choice but to take it out. So today I had an extraction and bone graft done, and now have a huge gap in the bottom left of my mouth and it feels so weird. I have to go back in October after everything has healed to get the actual implant, then after another 4 months I finally get a crown on. Who knew extractions & implants were such a process! Wow, I so hope I don't have to go back to the dentist for a really long time after this (other than cleanings of course)!

Anywho, I'm going to go watch the Bachelorette now that I recorded and enjoy myself some soft food and then get knocked out by some pain killers =)
