15 Months

My 15 month old...
She loves to cuddle and give hugs. She'll randomly walk up to you with her blanket to snuggle with you. She is so sweet and laid back, but can get wild, crazy and hyper too!

Says bye like "Ba" like a little southern baby
Loves stuffed animals
Loves phones
Likes to watch TV shows with her sister
Loves rice and real sweet potatoes (not the baby food)
Loves to dance in the car
Says "Daddy, Mama, bye, hi-ya (for hello), uh-oh, & wow"
Loves books
Climbs down the stairs on her belly
8 teeth- 4 on top, 4 on bottom
Mimicks sounds you make
Can already suck on a straw- this is dangerous because she always wants my cokes
Loves to just walk around and explore, and she's a super fast walker!
Loves to be outside

*Dont mind the nasty car seat that needs to be cleaned

We love you Haven!

Snip Snip

So as you can see, Haven got some bangs cut courtesy of Alli, the master stylist =)
I mean I guess it was bound to happen. I had just bought her a new pair of scissors earlier that same day and she had been "practicing"on her style head that she got for Christmas. So naturally the next best thing was to practice on a real live person right?! Yep, and sadly poor Haven got to be her first real victim!
Not only did she cut Haven's hair, but she cut a little bit of her own hair too! Hers was not very noticeable, but enough that I could tell. Haven's on the other hand, had a big chunk taken out front and center that was definitely noticeable!  She cut the part that was always in her eyes when her hair wasn't done. She told me she was just trying to help by getting it out of her eyes ha ha. Makes sense i guess. Note to self: Always do Haven's hair so Alli does not cut it =)
Anyway, so now when I try to do Haven's hair up or do pigtails it's just not as cute- but, the good news is that hair grows back pretty quickly and my girls have a ton of it. I'm just glad she only cut some in the front and not the entire head! Oh, and she tried to hide the evidence by putting the hair under the TV stand. What a girl.

Tubing at Soldier Hollow

Last week, Josh, Alli and I we went up to Midway to the Soldier Hollow Tubing Hill which was SO fun! Little Haven stayed home with my sister and hung out with her cousins.
I'm so glad we went. It was so gorgeous and maybe even a little too warm- we ended up shedding a lot of our clothes pretty quickly. The snow was a little on the slushy side, BUT- we still had a blast! It wasn't too busy and the best part was not having to hike up the dang hill every time...LOVE the tow system they have going on up there =) Here's a few pics of our tubing adventure. If you ever get the chance, you should definitely go. We loved it!

Serious Skills

Little Darlin' Alli is so athletic and talented. She pretty much picks up on anything she tries very quickly. The Hula Hoop is no exception. She is the best hula girl I've ever seen! She even inspired my sister to start practicing up on the old hula hoop awhile back which you can read about here.

It was so beautiful today finally, so we were out enjoying the sunshine. I snapped a few pics of my hula hooper, who so happened to have a small little audience watching. I loved how the school bus drove by and she just kept going, or how she would fix her hair and sunglasses, and carry on a conversation with her girlfriends all while hooping it up like it was no big deal! Professional multi-tasker makes it look so easy every time! I love the sass, and hot pink aviators too- I'm sure that only kicks up the groove a notch =) I love that she's so bold and fun.

Everyone, please join me in a round of applause in welcoming none other than Alli...the amazing five year old Hula Hooper!!!!!!

Mental Block

I have totally had a mental block with shopping for clothes at Walmart for pretty much my whole life. I guess I was kind of spoiled that way. We pretty much shopped at the two choices we had growing up, Christensens and Maurices, or we would drive up to mall in Provo.
However, I think it's safe to say that my mental block with Walmart had somewhat been broken! I've bought a few things for Alli recently that are pretty cute! For example, THESE colored skinny jeans for girls. We got the yellow ones and they're super cute! We also got THIS "high-low" dress that is adorable with a denim jacket over it. Alli's always telling me she wants to wear her "high-low" dress, it's hilarious. Oh and those plain white shirts that are just gonna get stained anyway...I'm all over those for $3.50. I haven't really shopped much in the women's department, that will probably take me a little longer to try, but I'm not afraid! =)
Don't get me wrong, I love to wait for a good sale at the Gap. Their pant prints, colors, comfort and fit are amazing, but I'm just saying I'm not afraid to buy something from Walmart that stands out to me. My new rule is simple, if it's cute it's cute and I don't care where it came from. Are you proud of me? Do you shop at Walmart?
Oh and p.s. I still think Target has got it going on in ALL departments =) I will always be a fan of target.
