Marietas Islands

Our last excursion in Mexico was to Marietas Island's. It's about a 1.5 hour boat ride out to the island. It's actually a National Park so there are parts where you can't go. The water out there is beautiful! We did snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking. The water was a little choppy, but not to bad. It's a beautiful place and we enjoyed it. We also saw the "Blue-foot booby" bird that literally has blue feet! We also, became friends with the "brown booby bird," because they flew over our boat the whole entire time to our destination and back! There was two that would hover above us, and then every now and then they would dive down the side into the water and catch a tiny fish, then hurry and fly back over our boat. We also saw dolphins out in the wild on our way home. Apparently, they like to play in the waves the boat makes. We saw three jump about 10 feet in the air! So fun to see.
It was so nice to be able to go on a fun trip for our Anniversary! Big thanks to Grandma's, Aunts and cousins on both sides for coming up to entertain and watch our kiddos. We couldn't have gone without you so THANK YOU! Also, coming home from a vacay and seeing your kids is the absolute best! We missed them more than we thought we would =)
